All our RAW FLEECES are well skirted and from the fall shearing when the wool is long, clean and has as little vegetable matter as possible in it. But do not take my word for it:

Our ROVING is produced at a small family operated mill located right here in the valley. The fleeces are washed with a mild detergent and processed into varying types of roving.

White or light grey icelandic roving.

Aspenlundfarms SOAPS are made using only pure olive oil and sheep's milk.

After the individual soaps are cured they are wrapped with plant dyed roving and lightly felted. Since the soaps are not scented, you can drop a bit of your favorite essential oil on the felt to make them your own.

Each one works up a lovely lather, is a joy to use and brings a smile to your face ;-)

RAW FLEECE

All the colors of the dyed roving are obtained from plants grown on our farm. The wool is premordanted with alum and rinsed with "eucalan". Excellent for crafts!
